The site that looks at Flanders with a critical eye. Flanders the overpopulated, little country lying inside Belgium. The majority of the population speaks Dutch, also the language of their neighbour The Netherlands or better known as Holland. This site is NOT about tourism or sightseeing, it is about living in Flanders, the battlefield of Europe, this small piece of land was visited by armies of Caesar (de Bello Gallico), France occupied it for centuries, Germany invaded it in world war I and II, Napoleon was defeated at Waterloo in 1815... Spain tried to decimate a large part of the population and the Austrian-Hungarian empire had his share in the fun. Nowadays we are invaded by illegal immigrants and assylum seekers and muslims from the Maghreb countries. A large part of the population is said to be racist and that could well be true, but get real, after all these occupations and our fabulous political elite, who could ever blame them. Below is the national flag of Flanders, De Vlaamse Leeuw, Flander's Lion. The national anthem is also "de Vlaamse Leeuw".
